A Jam, a fix, a flux, some shits – Joshua Johnson

In 1972, twenty years after they first proposed their ideas on public housing, the eminent architects and theorists Alison and Peter Smithson completed their only public housing scheme, Robin Hood Gardens. A jam, a fix, a flux, some shits stages the past, present and impending histories of the Smithson’s sole public housing development. A jam, a fix, a flux, some shits’ stage mimics the design of period and contemporary social, architectural and bureaucratic infrastructures, aloofly weaving the relationships of the architects with their building, and the building with its site and its viewer.
